DR. TODD GRUEN: I'm Todd Gruen. I'm a dentist and one of the partners at Germantown Dental Group. When I made the choice to follow in the footsteps of a truly exceptional and very well respected dentist, my father, I never could have imagined how fulfilling and rewarding dentistry could be. To be given the opportunity, not only to help people, but to establish so many wonderful relationships with my patients, I feel like it's been a real gift. I have a constant thirst to learn and to improve on what I can offer patients. I've had the good fortune to study at some of the best institutes of dental education in the world. In our practice, I have restored many complex cosmetic and restorative cases. And to me, there is—there's nothing more exciting than to help someone achieve their goals, a beautiful, healthy smile that's built to last and possibly even change somebody's life.

I have a son, Eli. He's in elementary school. And on the first day of school, his teacher asked the class to—for the kids to write autobiographies about themselves. And that night, his teacher called me to tell me that in Eli's autobiography, he wrote that when he grows up, he wants to be a dentist like his daddy. And to me, that's everything. That was icing on the cake.
