DR. JACOB SHILOAH: Hi, my name is Dr. Jacob Shiloah. And I'm a periodontist with the Germantown Dental Group. I have received my dental training in Israel and my specialty training at University of Kentucky in Lexington. I'm a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. And I am professor at the University of Tennessee, College of Dentistry.

Over the years, I've been involved in teaching and educating more than 3,000 dentists. I think that my students appreciate the fact that I practice what I teach. In return, I teach what I practice. I think patients have to realize that the appearance of the gums is part of their make-up. And just having veneers would not solve the entire problem unless we incorporate the half of the gums or how we call it the gingeva around the beautiful veneers.

I think the fact that there is a periodontist here in-house, patients don't have to look for another person that they never met before. It makes their life a little bit easier. Also, the communication between me and the three dentists that we have here is very good. And this helps to optimize the treatment for the patient needs.
