STEPHANIE: When I was a very, very small child, I had Tetracycline, which permanently stained my teeth very badly. As I grew up, I was very conscious of my smile, didn't want to open my mouth much because people noticed how dark my teeth were. I went to a dentist. And what he offered was to cap six of my front teeth. When he capped my front teeth, the color that he put on my front teeth were just blending with the real dark teeth that I had. So I never was satisfied with the teeth that I had had redone.

I happened to learn about Germantown Dental Group. Came here. Was very nervous about coming for the first time, just because of the past experiences that I had with my teeth, being embarrassed about how dark my teeth were and how badly they were stained. When I came here, I was completely comfortable with Dr. Whittemore and his staff. He made me feel very comfortable about talking about the problems that I had with my teeth, how unhappy I was with my teeth, and didn't make me feel like a spectacle that was sitting in the chair.

Dr. Whittemore was very good to talk with me, let me know what options that I had. He never gave me only just one option to chose from. He gave me several. And we worked together to come up with a solution that was much more conservative than some probably would have recommended.

Now I have more confidence when I smile. I feel like I can talk when I want to talk or I can smile when I want to smile. And it's made a big difference on my self confidence level.
